The new Imaginarium Theater season in Genshin Impact 7.2 opens on December 1, 2026 (04:00 server time; America server 1:00 AM PST / 4:00 AM EST). The required elemental types are Pyro, Hydro and Geo. The Opening Characters are Arlecchino, Bennett, Furina, Xingqiu, Navia and Illuga, and the Special Guest Stars are Chasca, Varesa, Kinich and Iansan. Arlecchino, Linnea, Ifa and Nefer each gain a new Thespian Trick that can be exchanged from the NPC Wolfy once the season begins.
Quick facts
- Season start: December 1, 2026, 04:00 server time (America: 1:00 AM PST / 4:00 AM EST)
- Required elements: Pyro, Hydro, Geo
- Opening Characters: Arlecchino, Bennett, Furina, Xingqiu, Navia, Illuga (they receive Fantastical Blessings)
- Special Guest Stars: Chasca, Varesa, Kinich, Iansan
- New Thespian Tricks: Arlecchino, Linnea, Ifa, Nefer (exchange from Wolfy)
Which characters should I build for the December season?
Because only Pyro, Hydro and Geo characters count toward the element requirement, the free Opening Characters cover a classic Vaporize core (Furina, Xingqiu, Bennett, Arlecchino) plus Navia and Illuga for Geo. Furina is also on the Version 7.2 Phase I rerun banner "Chanson of Many Waters", so this is a good season to pull her if you missed her; see our 7.2 banners post. Anemo, Electro, Cryo and Dendro characters can still join as Special Guest Stars or through your own roster if they meet the season rules shown in-game.
Envisaged Echoes update
After the 7.2 update, Envisaged Echoes adds new challenge stages and Echo cosmetics for Xilonen and Yae Miko. These are separate from the Theater season and can be done any time after the update.
How does this fit the 7.2 endgame calendar?
- November 16, 2026: Spiral Abyss Phase 1 reset
- December 1, 2026: new Imaginarium Theater season (this post)
- December 16, 2026: Spiral Abyss Phase 2 reset
Ley Line Disorders and Blessings for both Abyss phases are in our Spiral Abyss 7.2 schedule.
