To spot fake Wuthering Waves merch, check three things: the Kuro Games verification tag on the packaging, the ©KURO GAMES copyright line, and whether the seller is an authorized retailer named by the KuroGames Official Store. Official items also match a product Kuro has announced; a "figure" or plush of a character with no announced merch is almost always unofficial. Below are the warning signs, how to verify a store, and which US retailer Kuro lists.
Quick facts
- Proof of authenticity: Kuro Games verification (anti-counterfeit) tag on the box or hang tag
- Copyright line: ©KURO GAMES ALL RIGHTS RESERVED on packaging
- Authorized retailers named by Kuro's official store: yogoods, Nekotwo, VibeMax and Animon Life (US)
- Biggest red flag: merch for a character or design Kuro has never announced
How to check if Wuthering Waves merch is official
- Look for the verification tag. Licensed Wuthering Waves products carry a Kuro Games verification tag on the packaging. Every Kuro product Animon Life sells has it.
- Read the packaging. Official goods show the Wuthering Waves logo, the ©KURO GAMES line and the licensed manufacturer (for example Good Smile Company, Yogoods or Goodsfun). Blank boxes, misspelled names or no copyright line are warning signs.
- Match it to an announcement. Kuro's merch account, @KuroMerchandise, announces each official series. If you can't find the design there or on a licensed retailer's site, treat it as unofficial.
- Check the price. A 1/7 scale figure that sells for $200+ elsewhere won't be $40 if it's genuine.
Is this Wuthering Waves store legit?
Many sites use "Wuthering" or "WuWa" in their name, and some sell official and fan-made items side by side. A store name or a "100% official" banner doesn't prove anything. The reliable test is whether the KuroGames Official Store names the store as a retail partner. In its merchandise announcements, Kuro lists stores such as yogoods, Nekotwo, VibeMax and Animon Life as places to buy.
Fake Wuthering Waves figures and plush: common signs
- A character figure that Kuro hasn't announced. For example, there is no official Brant figure as of October 2026.
- Paint bleeding, shiny cheap plastic, or faces that don't match the official photos.
- Plushies with no tag, a tag in broken English, or no Kuro or licensor logo.
- Marketplace listings using official promo photos but shipping in a plain bag.
