Genshin Impact has four global servers: America, Europe, Asia and TW/HK/MO. Progress does not transfer between servers, so pick the one where you'll play with friends; if they don't matter, choose the server whose daily reset falls at a convenient time for you. Daily reset is 04:00 server time on every server.
Quick facts
- Servers: America, Europe, Asia, TW/HK/MO
- Progress: separate on each server; no transfers
- Daily reset: 04:00 server time
- Your UID: bottom-right corner of the screen and in the Paimon Menu
- Same HoYoverse Account works on every server
What time is daily reset on each server?
| Server | Server time | Daily reset (US time) |
|---|---|---|
| America | UTC-5 | 4:00 AM ET / 1:00 AM PT in winter; 5:00 AM ET / 2:00 AM PT during daylight saving time |
| Europe | UTC+1 | 10:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM PT the day before in winter; 11:00 PM ET / 8:00 PM PT during daylight saving time |
| Asia and TW/HK/MO | UTC+8 | 3:00 PM ET / 12:00 PM PT the day before in winter; 4:00 PM ET / 1:00 PM PT during daylight saving time |
Weekly reset happens on Monday at 04:00 server time.
Which server should I choose in the US?
Most US players choose America, where reset falls overnight. Choose Asia or Europe only if your friends play there. You can make a character on more than one server with the same HoYoverse Account, but each starts from scratch.
Can I transfer my account to another server?
No. Characters, items and progress stay on the server where they were earned. On PlayStation, your server follows your PSN account region and can only be changed with a different PSN account.
How do I find my Genshin Impact UID?
Your UID is shown in the bottom-right corner of the screen and in the Paimon Menu. The first digits tell you the server:
- 6: America
- 7: Europe
- 8 or 18: Asia (new Asia accounts since Version 4.4 start with 18)
- 9: TW/HK/MO
